The Warm the Block initiative, led by Ohio State Representative Latyna M. Humphrey, Ohio House of Representative D2, significantly impacted disadvantaged communities in Ohio District 2. This initiative, in collaboration with the Liberians In Columbus Inc., LICI and Haconet, provided much-needed support and resources to those in need.
The unwavering support and generosity of donors, supporters, and the community have been crucial to the success of Warm the Block. Thanks to their contributions, essential resources like food, clothing, and educational materials have been provided to hundreds of individuals and families in need.
But it’s not just about financial support. The Warm the Block initiative also values the importance of face-to-face interaction and community building. This is why they encourage volunteers to come out and participate in events and why they give special thanks to the members of Ohio State Representatives Dontavius L. Jarrells, Munira Abdullahi Ismail Mohamed, Allison Russo, and Senators State Senator Hearcel F. Craig and others who have shown their support.
The initiative has also received support from organizations such as the Franklin County Department of Job and Family Services and Liberiansincolumbusinc Lici. Their partnership has been crucial in opening doors and providing resources for the success of the Warm the Block initiative.
Together, with the dedication and support of all those involved, the Warm the Block initiative is making a difference in the lives of those in need. Let’s continue to support and uplift our communities, one block at a time. #WarmTheBlock #CommunitySupport
