Houston Texans Quarterback CJ Stroud is quickly making a name for himself in the NFL. As a second-draft pick for the Houston Texans, Stroud has quickly proven his worth and is quickly becoming one of the best quarterbacks in the league.
Against the Cincinnati Bengals, CJ Stroud led the Houston Texans to a 30-27 victory on Sunday with a last-minute, game-winning drive for the second consecutive week.

Stroud has had an incredible journey to get to where he is today. While attending Ohio State University, he passed for 4435 yards and had 44 touches during his freshman season. In his sophomore and final season, he passed for 3688 yards and threw 41 touchdowns.
Stroud’s first season with the Texans has been nothing short of outstanding. As a rookie quarterback, he has thrown the most passing attempts without an interception to start a career: 192 470 passing yards in a single game (vs. Tampa Bay Buccaneers) (November 5, 2023) and threw five touchdown passes in a single game, tying him with other rookie quarterbacks in the NFL.
His come-from-behind win against the Cincinnati Bengals on the road shows his grit and determination. With Stroud at the helm, the Texans look like a formidable team this season and could be a playoff contender this year if Stroud remains healthy.
CJ Stroud received a warm welcome since he is a former OSU standout. Joe Burrow, who led LSU to a national title, has experienced great success with the Bengals, and Stroud’s success seemed to ignite the team’s energy further. He also wishes to find the same success as Burrow is having.
His outstanding season so far has given the Texans fans hope that this season could be a special one. His win against the Bengals on the road is a testament to his potential and the potential of the Texans as a team.
